I have improved on everything, even in areas I would consider as my strengths. But the main thing I’ve noticed is my confidence on how to approach WODs. I’m a lot fitter than I’ve ever been before and even though I’ve always been good at the harder skills I can push them under fatigue.

JJ Perform has delivered. But the main adaptation has taken place between the ears and improving my self confidence and awareness of what I’m capable of.

I wanted an environment of like minded people pushing to get better. I got that! I recommend the programme – I’ve made great improvements since joining, another reason being that the community is fantastic – whether that is chasing each on the daily leaderboard or catching up with each other at different events around the country.

The programme has been easy to follow, I can honestly say I’ve never looked at a session and thought I don’t want to do that. There is always something new, always something different and always something to challenge you.

I decided to try JJ Perform as I was interested in the movement side of things, I was always relatively strong and relatively fit but though my movement range of motion in certain areas could be improved.

I really like the fact that the programme is broken down into smaller cycles, with each focus being a few weeks long. We are also told what we’re doing and why we’re doing it. The 5 minute videos in the FB group each day go a long way, even if it’s just something simple you may not have thought about trying in a workout.

Before JJ Perform I would train and I wouldn’t necessarily know why I was doing the things I was doing and how it would improve my training . I wouldn’t really know how to approach workouts, I had no idea about the importance of raising the heart rate before starting the WOD and the level of detail with the videos for each session is great.

Since joing the JJ Perform Programme back in November last year, I have had my highest ever CrossFit Open Placing, my highest QF Placing and have also qualified for the French Throwdown as part of a team. I genuinely am the fittest and strongest I have ever been.
