Many nutritionists and dieticians I know consistently preach about developing consistent patterns to change your health, well-being and body. Constantly working on/off diets often make your results static, making short-term progress followed by immediately rebounding.
The same rules apply to training programmes.
Following a 12-week strength programme or a 6-week conditioning plan is easy. You will see short-term results from these programmes. We regularly see that these short-term gains often head in the same direction as people’s nutritional programmes and regress to previous levels.
This is because of the interference and management that comes with spinning the plates in all areas that need work within functional fitness training, which means that changing focus leads to a decline in other areas.
Then when you ramp the neglected areas back up – the gains you made in your weakness programme regress due to changing focus, or you overtrain, and numbers begin to fall again.
The focus of the JJ Perform programmes is to keep spinning all the plates whilst spinning some faster than others.
This results in smaller and consistent gains over the year until peak time comes. This year, people simultaneously hit 5km PB row times whilst PB-ing both Olympic lifts and strength within the same month.
The long-term RPG athletes have had their best CrossFit Open performances to date due to their consistency in training and following the JJ Perform Programme.
Join us, and put in the work consistently.
Results are earned, not given. We are here to support you in your journey.
